● When to wet grind?

The high temperature generated by the stone grinding will cause certain damage to the structural crystal of the stone. After the stone is burned at a high temperature, it is prone to a series of problems such as loss of light, fragmentation, and pulverization. 

Adding water during stone grinding can accelerate the heat dissipation and reduce the damage to the stone. The stone thrown out at the natural temperature of the water mill is soft and shiny. 

Under the condition of dry grinding, because the heat generated at the moment of friction has a certain destructive effect on the crystal structure of the stone, the luster produced by the dry film has the phenomenon of glare, burning, drying and not enough translucent. 

● When to dry grind?

Unprotected stone:

Stones that have not been protected are easy to absorb water. If the surface of the stone is opened by water grinding, the water absorption of the stone will prolong the construction period. Therefore, for stone that has not been protected, before painting the protection, the surface can be opened by dry grinding, and the protective agent can be applied.

Grinding and polishing links:

The stone grinding, leveling and grinding optimization links use water grinding, and in the grinding and polishing link, dry grinding is used to speed up the light output. (The specific method is to use water grinding to grind to 1000 mesh, and the stone can be semi-dry or completely dry with less water or even no water. In practical applications, it will be found that this is a very practical technique that helps the stone to shine.)

Walls, corners, countertops:

The wall must be dry ground, because the wall does not have the conditions for water grinding. Imagine the client's beautiful living room, brand-new furniture, and the hand throwing machine in his hand throws the slurry everywhere...

After the stone is ground, the finishing work, such as the wall and the corner where the big machine cannot reach, can be done by dry grinding. As well as lines, small-area defects, repairing countertops, etc., dry grinding is more convenient.
