1: Aggregate

The aggregate of artificial stone is made of raw materials after bombing and hammering, jaw crushing and hammer crushing. For the fine material formed under a series of operations such as vertical grinding, the strength of the aggregate becomes weaker after being crushed.

②Resin:

The binder of resin-based artificial stone is unsaturated resin, and the binder of commercially available stone grinding tablets is also resin. The hardness of the two resins is almost the same. The high temperature generated during sequential grinding will cause colloid expansion, shrinkage, chapping, discoloration, and Difficult to shine phenomenon.

2. Grinding method of artificial stone

In order to solve the problem that artificial stone is difficult to produce light, it is necessary to choose high-grade resin abrasives with higher hardness and high temperature resistance, and change the practice of using crystalline materials for artificial stone polishing.

①Selection of grinding disc

Artificial stone is prone to scratches, and the selected grinding disc should be fine, uniform and free of granular protrusions.

When grinding artificial stone, the light output is low. It is recommended to use the traditional seven-step grinding disc with the number of 50#~3000# for grinding.

②Process requirements

Resin-based artificial stone: grinding with water, not dry grinding, grinding in sequence, no number skipping.

Cement-based artificial stone: dry grinding with professional dry grinding tablet and hardener, avoid water grinding, grind sequentially, and strictly prohibit number skipping.

Composite artificial stone, sintered artificial stone: try not to grind.

③ Grinding and refurbishing process

The artificial stone grinding method is a grinding disc with a machine, and the choice of the machine includes a hand polishing machine, a single disc machine, a grinding machine, etc. Hand polishing machines are used for corners, countertops, walls, etc., single-disc machines are used for small-area projects, and grinding machines are used for large-area projects.

When grinding, pay attention to the intersection of well and zigzag, so as to achieve a uniform and fine grinding effect without leaving dead ends.

Grinding times:

150# needs to be crossed more than 5 times (double for light machines).

300# is cross-grinded for more than 3 times with tic tac-toe (double for light machines).

500#, cross tic-tac-toe more than 3 times (double for light machines).

Through the overall grinding, scratches and pollution are eliminated, and the original color of artificial stone is restored. After grinding, the gloss reaches 65~80 degrees.

3. Polishing of artificial stone

There are two ways of polishing artificial stone: crystallization and sealing glaze.

①Crystallization

The acidic components such as oxalic acid and fluorosilicic acid in the crystalline material react with the calcium components in the artificial stone aggregate to form relatively hard calcium oxalate and calcium fluorosilicate, which can enhance the hardness of the aggregate on the surface of the artificial stone. In order to optimize the surface of artificial stone, wax and resin components fill the voids on the surface of artificial stone, thus forming a certain gloss. But the luster is dry and opaque, the hardness is low, it is easy to wear and tear, it is decomposed by water, and it is easy to be polluted and lost its luster.

②Seal the glaze

Sealing glaze is a physical polishing method. The liquid nano-silicon compound component in the VD sealing glaze material fills the pores on the surface of the artificial stone and optimizes the surface gloss of the artificial stone by polishing, which is equivalent to forming a thick layer on the surface of the artificial stone. The enamel layer with transparent, moist and bright glass texture can improve the decoration and make the artificial stone waterproof, non-slip, bright and wear-resistant.
